When you step into Mulberries Cake Shop, you're greeted with warm hearts and delicious treats, often accompanied by the joyful presence of their beautiful grandchildren, making memories in a place they call home.

Mulberries Cake Shop was first purchased in 2000 by proud owners Kathleen and Kip Karr. At the time, their first daughter was just one year old. Together, they embarked on building both their new life and a new business. Their journey began in a cozy 600 sq. ft. shop on South Gaylord St., with just a tiny cooler, a kitchen aid mixer, and a small oven.

Three years later, Mulberries moved to the charming neighborhood of Old South Pearl St., where they connected with loyal customers and saw a growing demand for their cakes. In the summer of 2009, they moved to East Colfax, a neighborhood undergoing a beautiful transformation, and Kathleen's vision began to take shape. The new shop, with its two double-stacked ovens, walk-in cooler, freezer, and more, offered ample space to grow in 5,000 sq. ft., making it feel like home! During this time, their family also grew with the addition of two more children!

Today, Mulberries Cake Shop is located in Brighton off Bridge St., surrounded by Kathleen's loving husband, daughters, grandchildren, and wonderful employees who are like family! It couldn't feel more like home!
